Word Trail Journey Privacy & Consent

Word Trail Journey Privacy Policy

Effective 29 July 2026

Overview

Word Trail Journey (“the game”) is published by Chand Studios (“we”, “us”). You can play as a guest without creating an account. This policy explains what data the game uses and the choices you have.

The game is free to download.

Data stored on your device

The game stores your settings, progress, and gameplay statistics locally on your device. This information stays on your device and is not uploaded to a personal cloud account.

Global leaderboard

The game downloads public ranking records from Google Firebase Cloud Firestore to show a global leaderboard. If you choose to set a display name, that name is stored — together with a random, installation-specific profile identifier — so your ranking entry can be updated. Your local statistics are merged into the display on your device and are not uploaded beyond what the leaderboard needs. Firebase processes standard network information (such as your IP address) in order to deliver this feature. See Firebase privacy .

Advertising & consent

The game shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may process an advertising identifier and standard ad-request data such as your approximate location (derived from your IP address), device type and the ad slots shown.

Where required — for example in the EEA and the UK — the game presents a Google-certified consent request (UMP) before loading personalised ads, and respects your choice. You can reset ad personalisation at any time from your device’s settings.

In-app purchases

The game offers optional in-app purchases processed by Google Play Billing and Apple's App Store billing. The store handles payment and holds your purchase history; the game stores only an anonymised transaction identifier on your device so an item is delivered once and can be restored later. We never receive or store your payment card details.

Crash and error reporting

The game uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to record crash and error diagnostics — such as device model, operating-system version and the technical stack trace — so that problems can be found and fixed. This information is not used to identify you personally, is never sold, and no advertising profile is built from it. See Firebase privacy .

Analytics

The game uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate usage — for example how many people open the game, which screens are used, and where people run into trouble. These reports are aggregated and are not used to identify you personally.

Children

The game is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

  • Delete all locally stored data by clearing the app's data in Android settings, or deleting the app on iOS.
  • Change or reset your advertising consent and identifier from your device settings.
  • Leave your display name unset to stay off the leaderboard entirely.
  • Email us to ask what data is held about your installation, or to request its deletion.

Security & retention

Data stored on your device remains there until you delete it, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the game. Leaderboard records are retained only as long as needed to provide the leaderboard. Crash diagnostics are retained by Firebase under its own retention schedule. We do not sell personal information.
